Betsson Group has been shortlisted for multiple accolades at the Italian Gaming Awards (IGA) 2026, taking place in Rome on 14 April as part of the Italian Gaming Expo & Conference (IGE) 2026, held on 14–15 April. 

The awards celebrate excellence across the Italian gaming industry, recognising best practices, innovation, and leadership. Winners are selected through an independent evaluation by a jury of industry experts via a dedicated voting process.

These nominations highlight Betsson Group’s continued focus on innovation, operational excellence, and delivering a high-quality customer experience. 

Last year, Betsson Group was awarded for impact, innovation and inclusion in Italy.

In previous editions of the IGA Awards, Betsson Group and its brands have received multiple recognitions. In 2024, Betsson Group was named Employer of the Year, while StarCasinò won Best Casino Games Operator and Operator of the Year, and StarCasinò.Sport received Best Marketing Campaign. In 2025, the Group won Best Marketing Campaign, Diversity & Inclusion, and ESG Compliance, while Betsson.Sport took home Social Engagement and StarCasinò won Best Mobile Operator. 

Italian Gaming Expo & Conference (IGE) 2026 

IGE 2026 brings together key stakeholders from across the Italian gaming ecosystem to explore the future of the industry, with a focus on technological innovation, sustainability, and responsible growth. 

Across two days, the conference will feature panels, discussions, and networking opportunities involving representatives from institutions, ADM (Customs and Monopolies Agency), licensees, technology providers, associations, and academia. 

As a supporter of the event, Betsson Group will contribute to the programme with two speaking sessions: 

14 April – 10:20 CET 
Marco De Cesare, Head of Compliance and Legal Affairs – Betsson Italy, will join a panel on “The EU AI Act and its prospective impact on sports betting integrity”, exploring the balance between advanced monitoring technologies and fundamental rights protections. 

15 April – 10:20 CET 
Stefano Tino, Managing Director Southern Europe at Betsson Group, will participate in a panel discussing “The responsible gaming communication landscape in Italy”, alongside regulators and industry stakeholders.
