Betsson Group has secured three major wins at the EGR Europe Awards, reinforcing its leadership in responsible gaming, sustainability and operational excellence across Europe.

The Group was awarded:

  • European Responsible Gambling Initiative of the Year
  • European ESG Initiative of the Year
  • Operator of the Year – Nordics and Baltics

Notably, this marks the second consecutive year that Betsson has won both European ESG Initiative of the Year and Operator of the Year – Nordics and Baltics, underlining the consistency of its strategy and execution.

In awarding European Responsible Gambling Initiative of the Year, the judges described Betsson as delivering “one of the most comprehensive, mature and demonstrably effective responsible gambling frameworks operating in Europe today.” The recognition reflects the Group’s structured and data-driven approach, combining predictive behavioural monitoring, rigorous verification processes and proactive customer engagement. Across European brands, more than 90% of active customers use at least one safer gaming tool, supported by real-time risk scoring and specialist intervention teams. Learn more about Betsson Group’s commitment to Responsible Gaming here.

For the second consecutive year, Betsson was named European ESG Initiative of the Year. Judges highlighted “a best-in-class ESG submission demonstrating scale, structure and measurable impact across Europe,” recognising in particular the embedding of ESG at Board level and the use of independently verified standards and certifications across multiple regulated markets. Betsson’s sustainability framework spans Responsible Gaming, Ethics and Compliance, Employee Impact, Social Impact and Climate Impact, ensuring governance and accountability are integrated into core business operations.

The Operator of the Year award for the Nordics and Baltics also represents a consecutive win. Judges described Betsson as “a best-in-class example of operational excellence,” combining deep local market understanding with scalable technology, strong brand execution and sustained commercial success. Throughout the region, Betsson has continued to invest in product innovation, brand alignment and disciplined regulatory execution, supported by its proprietary technology platform.

Securing repeat recognition in two key categories demonstrates that Betsson’s model is not event-driven but built on long-term operational discipline, regulatory focus and sustainable growth.

Betsson Group remains committed to strengthening its position in regulated markets, investing in innovation and maintaining high standards of responsibility across all operations.
